Every save method feeds the same library, so use whichever fits the moment. There are five:
1. Upload
Drag files — or entire folders — straight into your library. Images, videos, and GIFs all work. Uploads count toward your plan's storage limit.
2. Paste a link
Paste a URL and Bloom unfurls it into a reference with media, title, and source. Platform links get special handling — Instagram, Vimeo, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, X, Threads, Spotify, and Cosmos — and any other web page falls back to a clean preview with its best image. The reference appears immediately and its media fills in within moments.
3. Chrome Extension
A save button that lives in your browser. Hover over any image to save it, right-click to save a page, and pick a destination board as you go. It works everywhere, including the research sites creatives already use: ShotDeck, Frameset, Pinterest, and Cosmos. See Chrome Extension.
4. Text to save
Text a link or image to Bloom from your phone — SMS and WhatsApp on every plan, iMessage on Starter and above. You can route saves to a specific board or add a note, all from the chat thread. See Text to save.
5. Import
Bring existing collections in from Pinterest (your pins and boards), Vimeo (your likes), and Dropbox (files and folders). Connect an account under Settings → Connections → Sources and imports land in your library, already deduplicated on re-import. Importing requires a workspace owner or admin.
When to use which
- At your desk, browsing: Chrome Extension.
- On your phone: Text to save.
- Files you already have: Upload (or Dropbox import for large sets).
- A link someone sent you: Paste it.
- Years of Pinterest boards or Vimeo likes: Import once, then search it all in Bloom.
