Every presentation link carries its own set of permissions. The same board can go out as a locked-down preview to one client and a fully interactive review to another — you decide per link, and viewers never need an account either way.
The permission toggles
- Download — viewers can download references from the presentation ("pull selects"). Turn this on when a client needs to take assets away; leave it off when the work is look-but-don't-touch.
- Search — viewers can search within the presentation. Useful for long boards where scrolling to find "that one with the neon sign" gets tedious.
- Favorite — viewers can mark favorites. This is the cleanest way to collect selects: instead of a vague email, you see exactly which references landed.
- Comment — viewers can leave comments directly on the presentation, no account required. Feedback stays attached to the reference it's about. See Comments & feedback for how comments work.
- Show titles — show or hide reference titles. Hide them when filenames or source titles would distract from the work.
Notes visibility
Notes are your own annotations on references — context, intent, sourcing. The Notes setting has three levels:
- Never — notes stay private to you and your workspace.
- On hover — notes appear when a viewer hovers a reference. Context is there for whoever wants it, without cluttering the layout.
- Always — notes are visible alongside every reference. Best when the annotations are the point, like rationale on a pitch.
Attribution
Viewers can identify themselves with a name before favoriting or commenting. When several people review the same link, that keeps feedback attributable — you'll know whose favorites are whose.
Revoking a link
Revoke any link from the share dialog. Anyone opening it afterward is turned away, and you can create a fresh link whenever you're ready to share again — with the same permissions or different ones.
Good to know: permissions are per link, not per board. Nothing stops you from keeping two live links to the same board with different toggles for different audiences.
