Core concepts & terminology

The vocabulary Bloom is built on — workspaces, the library, boards, decks, agents, and the people who see the work.

Bloom has a small object model: a workspace holds a library of media, that media gets developed on boards, agents help move the work forward (including decks), and presentations share it outside the team.

The building blocks

Workspace — the top-level container for your library, boards, people, and tools. Members and guests belong to a workspace.

Reference — something you find and use for direction: an image, video, GIF, still, or link saved from the web or elsewhere. A reference lives in your library and can appear on any number of boards without being duplicated.

Asset — something you own, made, or delivered: uploads, selects, finals, footage, packages. Like references, assets live in your library and can appear on multiple boards.

Library — the DAM. Every save method feeds it. Boards draw from it; organizing never removes files from it. See Your library.

Board — a curated collection of references and assets for a pitch, job, or direction. See Boards — including common board patterns.

Sub-board — a board nested inside another board. Infinite nesting; every sub-board gets its own page.

Cluster — a tab-like grouping within a board that filters the view without moving anything. See Clusters & sub-boards.

Deck — a designed presentation built by a creative agent from your references, writing, and brief. You set direction; the agent researches, pulls frames, and lays out pages. See Decks.

Presentation link — a share link that turns a board into a polished view for people outside your workspace. See Share a presentation.

Reel — a sequenced cut of your company's work for pitches. See Reels.

The people

Member — someone who belongs to your workspace and works in it.

Guest — a workspace collaborator with a lighter footprint, useful for clients and freelancers. See Members & guests.

Viewer — an anonymous outsider looking at a presentation link. Viewers don't need an account. See For viewers.

The intelligence

Creative Memory — Bloom's AI index of your references. It's what lets you search the library in natural language. See Search your library.

Creative Agents — agents that research, find media, build boards and decks, pull GIFs and stills, or assemble reels from your company's work. See Creative Agents.

Good to know: This page covers product terminology. For the brand-concept vocabulary creatives use — creative direction, taste, and friends — see the glossary.
