DocsCapture & Import

Upload & paste links

The two zero-setup ways to save: drag files and folders into your library, or paste any URL and let Bloom turn it into a reference.

No extension, no connected accounts, no phone number — upload and paste work the moment you sign up. Everything you save lands in your library.

Upload

Drag files straight into your library — or drag an entire folder and Bloom takes everything inside it. Images, videos, and GIFs all work.

Uploads count toward your plan's storage: 5GB on Basic, 25GB on Starter, 500GB on Pro, and 2TB on Team. See Plans & limits.

Paste any URL and Bloom turns it into a reference. The reference appears immediately, and its media fills in asynchronously a few moments later — you don't have to wait around.

What you get depends on the link:

  • Platform links get special handling: Instagram, Vimeo, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, X, Threads, Spotify, and Cosmos.
  • Any other web page gets a clean unfurl — the page's title and its best image.
  • Profile URLs from Instagram, X, TikTok, and Threads become profile-type references, so you can save a person or account as a reference, not just a single post.

Good to know: A pasted reference shows up in your library instantly even if the source is slow — the preview and media arrive in the background.

Which one, when

  • Files you already have — upload. For very large sets that live in Dropbox, consider a Dropbox import instead.
  • A link someone sent you — paste it. It works with anything that has a URL.
  • Something you found while browsing — paste works fine, but the Chrome Extension is faster once you install it.
  • Something on your phoneText to save beats copying links around.

Whatever the method, saves go to the library first. Organizing into boards is a separate step you can do now or later — see Ways to save for the full picture of every capture method.
